Dwarf Fortress
I've heard it mentioned on this forum a couple of times, and I am starting to wonder about it, so

1. What is it?
2. Where can I get it?
3. How much does it cost?

RE: Dwarf Fortress
The above, and I'll also mention a few games inspired by it.
1)Towns Like DF, but simpler (at this moment in time) and much easier, better graphics. Runs on Linux, too. Pretty fun. Non-free.
2)GnomoriaLike the above, but, different? I've not played it.. Windows only. Non-free.
3)Clockwork Empires (made by one of my favourite Devs, and still not out yet, it WILL be epic though..) A mix of simcity, DF, and other games, made accessible. Linux, mac, and windows. Non-free.

RE: Dwarf Fortress
Wow, these games are nice! Gnomoria caught my eye. True, it looks like DF maximum ripoff, but it IS cute, easier to play and fully visualised and I like this!

Towns and Gnomoria are on steam Greenlight, if you want to help them get onto steam Tongue

RE: Dwarf Fortress
Towns is an awesome game, Gnomoria is kinda like Towns but I didn't spend as much time on it so I don't know much about it.

Never tried Dwarf Fortress because I'm not into ASCII. I can have some low standards for graphics but that's far below them.
