WLM/MSN
Or, more specifically, $@%& Microsoft for making people use 2011. Tried finding a crack on Google and found nothing. Who else is thinking of switching to AIM or just using Skype chat? :V

Of course, I'll probably post something when I find it. I am not entirely sure if this is legal, but Microsoft can blow me anyway.

...I'm talking about a way to continue using 2009 and not 2011. That involves cracking, hacking, or otherwise manipulating the software so that I can make the server believe I'm using a newer version when I'm not. That IS the definition of a crack, you know.

Edit: Apparently the best way to handle this is to set it to run in compatibility mode for WinXP. It won't mess up your resolution but you might notice a change if you're weird and use Aero.

RE: WLM/MSN
Rather use skype than any of these. The only windows chat-ish software I use is hotmail, and that I use simply for registering to sites and stuff.

RE: WLM/MSN
Yeah. The only problem is if you want to use video chat... well you can't use that at all. I know for a fact that when i had windows XP with WLM 2009 when trying to talk to a person with a newer version that it just straight out refused to use the webcam (Only happened one way though, eg if i started the call it worked, if she started the call it didn't). Other than that it should be fine.

What's wrong with WLM? I've used it for years.

Nothing is THAT wrong with it, it's just sucky and I honestly didn't think anybody still enjoyed to use it.
