There eventually needs to be a limit on how much you can carry, and a way to pick up uncollected materials, and before that, working chests.

The idea of unlimited backpack space is nice, but without an unlimited amount of pages (and a limit to how many stacks of items a page can hold,) it's not practical.

Looks like it may be done with a weight system like what Elder Scrolls has got (based one the Weight part of the item templates)

I'd say nothing. A lot can be seen as placeholders as such. The sword, knife, spear and club were all set at 2 damage each, 3 hits on a Zombi, just to have a figure there while an Axe did 20 damage (easily killing Zombis in one hit) Zombi

Well, there is one way I've found... toss it on the ground. Doesn't work with blocks or debris though, so I guess that defeats the purpose.
