Working towards finishing school... so many years remaining... Pretty much need a bachelor's degree or higher to get a job where I live.

It's less about WHAT you know and more about WHO you know around here.

For most professions, it's turning into that. Having connections helps a lot more than a degree in some cases.

That being said, some jobs, like being a teacher or doctor, still require a degree. I don't necessarily think teacher NEEDS to require a degree, but I do like the idea of knowing my doctor actually had a full education. '-'
