Windows 10 not even trying.

Windows 10 not even trying.
It used to be that Windows had a hidden method of calling home to check for activation. (WGA in Win7) This is even easier to bypass in Windows 10.

Microsoft moved all activation nonsense to a service known as sppsvc. The only downside to not activating is a watermark, and no ability to change wallpaper.

Solution:
Step 1) Make Windows think it's activated with AutoKMS or similar.
Step 2) Take permissions for sppsvc.exe and replace with empty dummy file.
Step 3) Disable the service through regedit. (set start type to "4")

Because the drawbacks were run through the service, it can't revert your system if you mess with that file and registry entry.

Seriously, Microsoft. It's like you don't even care anymore.

RE: Windows 10 not even trying.
Well, Windows 10 is supposed to be free for Windows 7, and Windows 8 users so it's not that weird that they're not too concerned about activation.
You could just type in your Windows 7 code and it would work.

I play too many games at once.

Actually, for that to work, you need to install Win7, activate it, and then use their upgrade tool. I can't remember the last time my copy of Windows was activated.
Besides, that offer to upgrade expires at the end of this month. You can still install Win10 for free, but it won't be activated.
