RE: Progress-O-Meter Alpha 0.53
I have the worst graphics card ever. I don't play games to have them look pretty. I play games I find fun or story rich. Graphics are usually my last concern in a game.

Oh my ****... the amount of bot threads right now...
New suggestion: Night Vision Goggles. Alternatively a much better light source. A lightsource that gave of light while you held it would be nice too. Just so dark.

I play too many games at once.

New lighting looks good.
It should be noted AMD/ATI Radeon HD cards natively support TXAA, among other post-processing effects, and can be activated from the Catalyst Control Center. (Disable, 1/2/4/8/16x, Application)(Application is default, because setting it here FORCES the effect on or off, ignoring the program)

Also, I'm back!
Edit: Gfx don't bother me. I play at 1280x1024 on a 26 inch monitor.

Forever vigilent.

Up and working at 4 again today. Did up a new video yesterday, and still working on loosening the terrain packing (which touches just about every function in the game). If you're interested in what that involves, here's a wikipedia article about it. The screenshot below shows what that translates to in-game (and also shows the sky gradient, which has been put back in).

This looks tasty. I like how clouds and sky is more vibrant in contrast to previous version. All that irks me now is how all textures looks flat, like in pernament shadow of cloudy day but it might just be me.

Anyway, it looks like basic block of Uberdark is not "block" but point on tetrahedron grid. Dat math.

I wouldn't say it looks tasty like Ziggy, but it DOES look better.
Ziggy, what kind of tastebuds do you have? That's a screenshot of the sky and a mountain of dirt and rock. I don't think that's edible.

I play too many games at once.

Up and working at 6 today -- the packing changes should help with lighting (when I get to that part of it)

Looking forward to seeing the changes in-game and seeing the impact that they have in practice. Big Grin
