A day late and lots and lots of nothing accomplished (with family again). As far as the new ideas are concerned... Right now uberdark is horribly slow and buggy, and I've been trying to determine how to rectify that -- the major culprit is the terrain resolution... Trying to find a way where terrain pieces can be plopped very quickly, and moved around dynamically -- at the current resolution, that's just not possible. Anyway, I've come up with a plan for it (reusing a lot of the existing code), but the devil is in the details (as they say).

Well to be honest, while I think the game looks very cool as it is, I feel you could drop the voxel resolution by a fair bit without losing much of the current charm it is. At what point does the resolution vs performance ratio seem best to you?

Plan A: Reduce texture resolution.
Plan B: Remove textures until engine is smoothed-out.
Plan C: Allow the lag while the engine gets tweaked.
